Since 1988. Scandinavian Seaplanes was founded at 2021 and is located at Halli airport (EFHA) in Jämsä, Finland. Atol amphibian was originally designed by Markku Koivurova at 1980’s. Maiden flight was performed at 23 of August 1988. First planes were sold as kits under European ultra light category. Atol Aurora is designed under LSA ( Light Sport Aircraft ) rules. Each component has been optimized through design and selection of materials which include carbon fiber, aluminum, Kevlar and wood-composites. This optimization has led to the industry leading 270kg useful load without compromising strength and durability. Markku passed away suddenly at 24.09.2023, but his legacy lives and flies forever with Atol Aurora.
